Composite Fillings

These are tooth-colored fillings that restore teeth that have minor decay, breaks or cracks. The decay or damaged area is removed and filled in with the composite. The fillings can be made from several types of materials, but all are made to blend in with your real teeth. Dr. Buttaro can mold and shape the composite tooth to provide a comfortable, natural-looking restoration.

Occasionally sensitivity is present in the treated tooth, but it’s only temporary, and should abate quickly. Composite fillings are strong and long-lasting, but as with many dental treatments, they will need to be replaced after many years.

Uses for composite fillings:

  • Decayed teeth
  • Cracked, broken or chipped teeth
  • Closing gaps between teeth
  • Restore worn teeth
